The Scarangella family enters the world of transport, starting later to specialize in container transport.
In these years the Scarangella family rented an area inside the Interporto S.I.To. and start building the terminal.
The expansion of the business and the new contracts with Shipping Companies and Forwarders bring the Scarangella family to the creation of the new company, which takes the name of Torino Terminal Container srl.
Start of the pilot service that will give concreteness to the feasibility study for intermodal transport to connect the new port of Vado Ligure and the Orbassano Terminal. The convoy consists of 16 wagons and carries 24 containers, including seven reefer containers. On his arrival he was worked entirely by the Torino Terminal Container.
A new investment leads us to use a transport and terminal management system able to manage road, intermodal and railway transport linked to the sea: interfacing with EDI or WEBSERVICES with customers; automatically receiving transport mandates; sending flows to the companies to monitor entries and exits from the terminal making available FTP spaces to share data.
The experiment begins with a new App provided to all drivers that allows us to monitor the progress of the missions, send and receive telematics documentation and reports on the missions in progress and those to be carried out by integrating automatically information in our management system.
Thanks to the obtaining of customs authorizations, Torino Terminal Container is now recognized as an Authorized Recipient and as a temporary storage deposit.
With the investments in Industry 4.0, a new reachstacker crane is acquired and the integration with the management system is completed. The data flow now also includes automatic communication of tasks, positioning and recording of movements performed by cranes.
Following the processing of the swap body trains, the processing of the containers trains originating from Genoa an La Spezia begins.
